Cast Mountain at Santa Fe Bone Symposium

NBHA displayed Cast Mountain, the visual centerpiece of its 2Million2Many awareness campaign, at  the Santa Fe Bone Symposium in New Mexico on August 10 and 11. The exhibit is a 12-ft. tall and 12-ft. wide mountain of casts representing the 5,500 bone breaks that occur in the US every day due to osteoporosis. As part of the 2Million2Many campaign's effort to raise awareness for the connection between broken bones and osteoporosis, Cast Mountain is touring the country and being displayed at various events targeting health professionals and the public.

The National Osteoporosis Foundation’s International Symposium on Osteoporosis  (ISO12) is the premier scientific meeting dedicated entirely to the treatment and study of osteoporosis. NBHA debuted its new 2Million2Many awareness campaign and Cast Mountain exhibit at the meeting held in Orlando, FL from April 25-28.

"20/20 Vision" Summit Shares Best Practices for Osteoporosis/Fracture Prevention and Care

On November 14, 2011 NBHA and Kaiser Permanente unveiled their "20/20 Vision" for reducing hip and other fractures 20 percent by 2020 at an event held at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health in Washington, DC. More than 100 attendees participated in the event in person or via web conference.
